TGV - High-speed train in France

France was the first country to have high-speed trains. Today's TGVs (Train a Grande Vitesse) are the most recognisable high-speed rail brand in Europe. They are a symbol of modernity, speed, comfort and civilisational success. The TGV network in France comprises some 2,000 kilometres of high-speed rail links. A TGV train on 3 April 2007 broke the speed record by reaching 574.8 km/h on the new TGV Est line from Paris to Strasbourg.

By train across Europe

The rail network in Europe is very extensive and connects almost the entire continent. This makes train travel the best way to explore European countries. Nothing prevents you from starting your journey in France and moving on to Switzerland, for example. The TGV Lyria offers such connections. The company is owned by SNCF. This recently refurbished French train connects cities such as Paris, Lausanne, Bern, Geneva, Zurich, Basel, Marseille, Montpellier and Nice.

All TGV Lyria trains from France to Switzerland are modernly designed, with comfortable seats and legroom. There are three booking classes on offer for the passenger to choose from: Economy Class, Comfort Class, Premier Class (on some routes).

Passenger satisfaction after a journey on the TGV Lyria high-speed train is guaranteed.
